Tailored to your day

Pricing a wedding on film

I prepare each quote individually rather than working from fixed packages. The final price depends on the length of coverage, the location, travel, and the amount of film your day needs, and anything from the optional additions below can be built into it.

A wedding on film carries real material craft: the rolls themselves, professional development, high-resolution scanning, and a hand-finished edit of every image. That care is part of why the photographs feel the way they do.

Everything you'll receive

Coverage

Full-day coverage

Coverage usually begins while you are getting ready and continues into the evening, so the gallery can hold the quiet start, the ceremony, dinner, speeches, and the first hours of dancing.

Film

Medium format and 35mm

Medium format for the calm moments, 35mm when the day speeds up.

Edit

An edited gallery

You receive a considered selection of the strongest photographs rather than every frame. Most full-day weddings result in around 300 to 500 finished scans.

Delivery

Individually finished scans

Every scan is finished by hand and delivered in high resolution, ready for printing and archiving.

Gallery

Private online access

Your photographs are presented in a private online gallery that's easy to share with family and friends and available for one year.

Negatives

The originals stay with you

The negatives are yours to keep: the actual film that passed through the camera on your wedding day. Stored well, they become a physical archive that can still be printed decades from now.

If your day calls for more

Optional Additions

If you'd like more than the gallery alone, I can include any of these in your quote.

Prints

From screen to wall

From the final scans, colour or black-and-white prints can be made on photo or fine-art paper in a range of sizes.

If you prefer the full analogue path, darkroom prints can also be made by hand directly from the original negatives.

Albums

A book of the day

The gallery becomes a handcrafted lay-flat album, printed on fine paper by the specialist labs I work with. We choose the images together, or I prepare a first selection for you.

Many couples add theirs after seeing the gallery, so there's nothing to decide up front.

Second photographer

For the big days

If your guest list is long or your day runs on parallel tracks, I bring a second film photographer along, so neither half of the day goes unseen.

Super 8

A moving-image keepsake

For couples who want an analogue film alongside the photographs, an experienced cinematographer I work with shoots the day on Super 8.

These pieces are typically three to five minutes long, edited to music. They feel like a memory.

A date and a place are enough to begin. If the rest is still taking shape, that is fine; most practical questions are answered in the FAQ.
